AW16 Makeup Trends

High Content Makeup

The fast flurry of different makeup styles loved at fashion shows excites me. I can flip pages upon pages in fashion magazines, reading what key make up artists used and how they used it,  then buying it all and trying it out for myself!

So today I’m sharing with you my perfect picks to achieve this season’s makeup trends.

💄FRESH AND GLOWY SKIN
I’ve been loving cream highlighters at the moment and Topshop’s stunning gold ‘Gleam’ highlighter is no exception. I was so impressed with it’s luminous sheen and how it gives my skin life especially after a rough night’s sleep.

💄GLAM EYES & MUTED LIPS
One can never have too many eyeshadow palettes right? RIGHT! I like layering the colours starting from the lash line working up to create a multi dimensional sultry eye. Fake Bake have made this super easy to do by formulating this beaut of an eye palette.

Paired with Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Bow N Arrow’. Kat makes one of THE best formulas in the ocean of liquid lipsticks out there. A rich pigmented browny nude that I’d say is quite a unique colour, creamy to apply and dries completely matte.

💄DOLL LASHES
Short, sad, stubby lashes screams ME *sad face*. Hourglass made Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara in ‘Onyx’ with me in mind I’m sure! This magical concoction lifts, separates, lengthens AND adds volume. I enjoy the luxurious feel when applying this and will be wearing this on every special event coming up.

💄FLUSHED CHEEK
A natural flushed cheek makes you look healthy and youthful. This medium pink peach blush called ‘Score’ from Urban Decay is absolutely perfect for my skin tone. It has a slight sheen helping to brighten up my complexion and lasts all day. No contouring! Just a pretty soft focus look.

💄BRIGHT LIP
Who said winter is only about the darker berries and vampy coloured lips?! Nah uh honey, a bright red lip looks bangin’ too! M.A.C lipstick in ‘Relentlessly Red’ is a retro matte formula – a hot fusion of pink coral and red with a matte finish. Super sassy in a stick.
