Best Japanese Skincare - Tatcha Eye Mask

Tatcha’s Deep Hydration Revitalizing Eye Mask

Eyes are one feature I find most of my friends and family seem to complain about. I often get asked – “Which products help to reduce puffiness”, “What can I use to brighten up my eyes?”, “Help me Mae….!!!”. The answer is Tatcha’s Deep Hydration Revitalizing Eye Mask. It keeps your delicate eye area hydrated and luminous without any nasty ingredients – just a beautifying blend of coconut-derived cellulose, Okinawa red algae, royal jelly, along with extracts of peony, green tea leaf and silk. After 20 minutes (five minutes extra for good measure!) your eyes will feel bright and refreshed.

YU-BE Moisturising Skin Cream

One of the longest-selling creams sold in Japan and a moisturiser my skincare stash is never without! I use this everywhere – my face, body and even my cuticles. Formulated with a mix of highly concentrated glycerine, Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and sodium hyaluronate. All fused together to improve moisture, boosts collagen, is anti-ageing and protects by acting as a skin barrier.

I love SUQQU! Their brand is so underrated. Their water-based SPF 50 is light on application, non-drying and doesn’t leave a grey cast like some sunscreens. Only a small amount is needed and I feel good that I’m protecting my skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, preventing any further damage.

Shiseido Creamy Cleansing Emulsion

It’s quite difficult finding a cleanser that thoroughly cleans my face especially my pores, however this product by Shiseido certainly does just that. Their Creamy Cleansing Emulsion is gentle enough for my sensitive/dry skin, efficiently removing the day’s grime and makeup. It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean without that tight feeling.

Kanebo Sensai Celullar Performance Essence

As I’m getting older, I’m becoming more interested in anti-ageing treatments and products. Kanebo’s extensive luxury skincare range is definitely a great place to start if you are looking to slow down the ageing process! Essences are a combination of a toner and serum that add an extra layer of moisture to hydrate the skin. They are used after your toner and before your serums and moisturisers by gently tapping onto the face. Or I sometimes use it as a deeper treatment by soaking cotton rounds with the essence and leave them on your face for 10-15 minutes. I’ve noticed that by adding this extra step in my skincare routine I have more ‘good skin’ days which is never a bad thing!

Shu Uemura Stage Performer Instant Glow

Less is more when using this cream. It enhances skin texture, brightens complexion and provides a smooth base for your foundation. I’ve also found that tapping the cream where you highlight your face creates an ethereal glow or mixing the cream with your foundation before applying gives a lovely dewiness.

Have I mentioned before that I am addicted to lip balms and lip treatments?! If you know me well, you know that I carry a separate makeup bag for lip products and I have a whole box of balms and scrubs at home. Babes, I am not ashamed! This one is a game-changer. Your lips will feel soothed, plump and well conditioned throughout the day.
